Why would anyone be looking for a Home Based Business? or starting their own Business? No commute to work, no boss, no one controlling your time, time freedom, maybe in time financial freedom. For mothers it’s more time at home with their children and not taking them to day care, or maybe for those folks out there having to fight the corporate jungle, you can set your own hours, schedules. Has a nice ring to it doesn’t it? Is it easy? Not really. It takes effort.
As i have stated before i work for the United States Postal Service looking to escape from that organization, not because the Post Office is a bad place to work, there are alot of hard working people working there that love their jobs, it’s just that i want something better for my life. I want time freedom. Want to travel more, see the world, to be able to volunteer anytime i want to my local church, spend more time with my wife, see my grown children more and my future grandchildren, not have to worry about living on a fixed income like my parents or grandparents. I think this is a worthwhile endeavor and attainable.
I am just a average hard working man who loves his Lord, wife, children. I am not trying to tell you that starting a home based business or starting to work from home is an easy thing to start to do. It takes effort, takes time, you have to know why you want to do it and don’t loose sight of that reason. Ever!
About a year ago i started on my quest to escape from the Post Office, i partnered with a company that is not Internet based but has been in business for 30 plus years(the company will remain nameless for now because it is not my intent to write this post to promote any business venture or anyone particular Internet site or anything like that). I have just recently started this Blog and some other stuff on the Internet to try to learn more and to be able to set myself up for future success.
There is allot of information on the Internet more so than i thought. There are allot of sites claiming to make you millions in a very short time. Get rich quick schemes, as I’m sure anyone reading this post has probably experienced. It was easy for me to start this venture because i knew why i wanted to do this. I knew “MY WHY” as they say. The company i partnered with i believe in. There are ways to make my business work in more productive ways using the Internet. I have found them (more on that later).
In my spare time i am a Legal Broker and Internet marketer, working full time at my J.O.B., part time on my fortune (quoting from one of my favorite authors Jim Rohn).
Whatever business venture you are thinking about or getting ready to start, whether it be Internet base or not, be very careful to do your home work first. Now I’m not an expert or anything but a person can waste allot of time, energy, and money on not being focused on the main thing. What i mean by that is when i first started i let allot life get in my way, life is allways going to get in the way but you have to stay focused. Find what you want to do, figure out how to do it and just START. You have to treat it like a business, if you don’t you will not succeed. Anything worth having takes work and effort. You can still learn as you go but stay focused on your business, treat it like a business, remember WHY you are doing it and don’t give up, if you do you will never get what you truly want.
